MMOA Apps

Import and export

Bring reviews and questions from another app with a CSV file, and download yours at any time. Available on every plan.

Import reviews

  1. Open Import & Export.
  2. Under What are you importing?, choose reviews.
  3. Use the file exported from your old app, or Download the reviews template and fill it in.
  4. Choose the file, then Check the file to see a preview. Rows with problems are shown and skipped.
  5. Tick Publish imported reviews right away if you want them live at once, then choose Import.

Columns: product_handle or product_id, rating (1 to 5), title, body, display_name, location, created_at, photo_urls (separate links with |), verified (yes or no). Optional: customer_email, review_id.

  • Exports from Growave, Judge.me and other apps work too: common column names are recognised automatically.
  • Up to 5,000 rows and 15 MB per file. Split bigger files.
  • Rows already in MOA Review are not added twice.
  • Photos are copied from the links in the file in the background. Photos that fail are listed on the review page with the reason.
  • Imported reviews show the Imported badge (if turned on in Settings) and never get a reward.

Import questions and answers

Choose questions and answers under What are you importing? and use Download the questions template. Columns: product_handle or product_id, question, asker_name, asker_email, answer, answered_by, published, created_at. One row per question; leave answer empty for unanswered questions. Imported answers never email the asker.

Import history

Import history shows each file with new, updated, invalid and skipped rows. Invalid: rows with a problem. Skipped: rows already in MOA Review.

Export

  • Export all reviews: every review with its rating, text, photo links and review_id, in the same columns as the import.
  • Export questions and answers: every question with its product, asker and answer.
To fix reviews you imported (for example to move them to another product), export, edit the file and import it again: a review_id from your store makes the row an update instead of a new review. Reviews your customers wrote can't be changed this way; those rows are skipped.
