MMOA Apps

Find a video

Videos are saved on the packing PC that recorded them. The app tells you which PC; the packing screen on that PC plays and copies the video.

1. Find which PC has the video

Skip this step if you only have one packing PC.

  1. In the app, open Recordings.
  2. Search by tracking number, order, packer or product, and narrow it with From and To if you like.
  3. The Packing PC column shows where the video is.

Each row also shows the time, length, packer, type, order and kind (Pack, Return, Inspect or Photo, with the inspection result). Times are shown in your computer's time zone. Up to 300 of the newest matches are listed.

2. Open the video on that PC

  1. On the packing PC, open Video List.
  2. Scan the shipping label, or type a tracking number, order number, product or packer, and choose Search. You can also filter by kind and date.
  3. Choose View to play the video. The label photo, packer, type, location, product, order number and file path are shown with it.
  4. Choose Save copy to download the file, then attach it to your reply to the customer, carrier or marketplace.

Check that a file wasn't changed

When a video is saved, Find Packing stores a fingerprint of the file on that PC. When you choose View, it checks the file again and shows ✓ Original file or ✕ Changed since recording.

Find files without the packing screen

Videos are plain files in the save folder, in a folder per date (year / month / day), named by tracking number and time. Each day's folder has a packing-log.csv that lists every recording with tracking number, packer, type, location, product, order, start and end time, file name and size. Open it in any spreadsheet app.

New PC, or the list is empty

The Video List on each PC is kept in that browser. If you move the save folder to a new PC, or the browser data was cleared, open Video List and choose Rebuild list from folder. Find Packing reads the packing-log.csv files in the folder and adds the recordings back.

Find Packing has no link to share a video online, because videos are never uploaded. Save a copy and send the file.
