MMOA Apps

Adding creators

Add creators by hand, import a CSV or sheet, bring in Shopify customers by tag, or let creators apply.

Add one creator

  1. Open Creators and click Add creator.
  2. Enter the full name and, if you have them, the Instagram profile link, email, phone, type, content category, followers and notes.
  3. Optionally add a delivery address. Tick Also create a Shopify customer to add the type tag and address in Shopify (it links to an existing customer with the same email).
  4. Click Save. If the person looks like someone already in the app, you are shown the match and can open that profile or create the new one anyway.

Bulk import from a CSV or a sheet

  1. Open Import and choose Bulk import.
  2. Click Download template, or prepare your own sheet. The first row must be headers: name (required), instagram, category, email, phone, type, followers, city, country, owner, stage, channel, fee, code, notes.
  3. Upload a CSV file or copy a table from Google Sheets or Excel and paste it. Save Excel files as CSV UTF-8 first.
  4. Check the preview. Rows flagged Duplicate match an existing Instagram, email or phone number and are skipped.
  5. Click Import. Up to 1,000 rows are processed per click; import the rest in another round.

Creator types

Types (for example influencer, affiliate, partner) are your own list. Edit them in Settings › Creator types: add, rename, change the Shopify tag, reorder or pick a badge colour. Deleting a type in use asks which type its creators should change to.

A bulk import never overwrites data you already have. Country is a 2-letter code such as US, GB or DE; a blank stage means New.

Import Shopify customers by tag (Pro)

Bring in customers you already tagged in Shopify, for example vip or ambassador.

  1. Open Import › Shopify customers by tag.
  2. Pick the tags. Customers with any of them become creators in the New stage.
  3. Choose the type to add them as and click Import customers with … tags. People already in the app are not duplicated.

On the Pipeline, Import Shopify customers (Pro) pulls customers tagged with your creator type keys (see Creator types below).

Let creators apply

Every store gets a public apply page. Copy its link from the Dashboard (Your apply page) or from Settings › Apply page, and put it in your bio or store footer.

The apply page also works on your own store domain, inside your theme: https://your-store-domain/apps/creators/apply. Settings and the Dashboard show both links; the store-domain one is the one to share.

  • Applicants enter their name, email, phone with country code, Instagram profile link, what they create, how they would like to work with you, their delivery address and an optional message. They must agree to be registered and contacted.
  • Each application creates or updates the Shopify customer (default address, type tag, message in notes) and puts the creator in the New column.
  • If the applicant is already in the app (same customer, email or Instagram handle), their record is updated instead of duplicated.
  • Add ?type=UGC to the link to preselect a collaboration type, or ?owner=Alex to assign applicants to a team member.
  • To stop applications, turn off Accept applications in Settings › Apply page.

Creator types

In Settings › Creator types, write one type per line as KEY | Label. The KEY is also the Shopify customer tag: changing a creator's type swaps the tag, and the order of the list decides which type wins when a customer has several tags. The defaults are Influencer, UGC, Paid and Barter.

Work with many creators at once

In Creators, select people (or Select all results) and use Bulk actions: set owner, add or remove a category, move to a stage, set the next follow-up date, Create gift links (CSV) (Pro) or Export gift orders and ROI (CSV) (Pro).
