Expiry reminders
Reminder emails tell customers their credit is about to run out, so less of it goes unused.
Turn reminders on
- Open Reminders.
- Under When to remind, tick 7 days before credit expires, 1 day before credit expires, or both.
- Edit the Subject and Button text if you like.
{amount}in the subject becomes the customer's credit. - Click Save, or Save and send me a test to get a sample email yourself.
When emails go out
- The app checks every hour for credit that expires soon.
- Each customer gets at most one 7-day and one 1-day reminder for a credit. Several credits expiring in the same window are combined into one email per currency.
- The amount in the email never goes above the customer's current balance in Shopify. If nothing is left, no email is sent.
- Only credit with an expiry date is reminded. For campaign credit, the campaign's Send expiry reminders for this campaign box must be ticked.
What the email looks like
Your store name at the top, a heading such as "{amount} is waiting for you", a line saying when the credit expires and that it applies automatically at checkout when they sign in, your button linking to your store, and an unsubscribe link. The Email preview on the Reminders page shows your current subject and button.
Emails are sent from the MOA Credit sender, shown with your store name. Replies go to your store's email address.
Languages
- On Growth, reminders are in English.
- On Pro, set Email language to Match each customer's language or pick one fixed language: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi or Chinese (Simplified). Customers whose language isn't listed get English.
Unsubscribe
Every reminder has an "Unsubscribe from credit reminders" link. After a customer clicks it, they get no more credit reminders from your store. Their credit itself is not affected.
